I have been slacking on the skin care a bit which caused a minor breakout that is just now drying up, and a tiny bit of eczema to pop up. So here is how I'm fighting back!
Acne Game:
Benzol Peroxide Cream 10% - using it daily and loooooading that bad boy up on any zit. Trust this works to kill it in 24-48 hours. No lie!
10% Benzol Peroxide Facial Wash - They also sell it at 2% and 5%, but my face is hardcore. I'm not playing around.
Salicylic Acid - I use this sparingly but works to help kill a pimple fast (at around 2%) when used after washing and before applying B.P cream.
Oily Skin Game:
Milk Of Magnesia - No lie, this works like a charm. However I only use it when I am wearing makeup. It acts as a great buffer, and oil controller. It turns white on the face but makeup easily covers it up. P.S did you know that this is the main ingredient in oil blotting powders?
Loreal Skin Genesis Oil Free Lotion - I normally haaate lotion on my face but this stuff is the bizness! I love applying it at night because I wake up in the morning with smooth, soft, oil free skin, that is pore refined. I don't like applying it where I apply benzol peroxide though. I don't think they work well together. So when I use I only use B.P cream as a spot treatment.
Vinegar - It's crazy but it works. I use 50/50 mix of vinegar and water as an astringent and I don't get oily for a while. I use this when I am chill'n at home makeup free. Need to switch from white vinegar to apple cider vinegar though.
Vitamin/Mineral Game:
B Vitamin Complex - I always notice a difference in my skin when I'm off this stuff. My face gets oily, and my body breaks out with eczema. I know it is probably the B5 (aka Pantothenic Acid ) that my body is lacking the most but why not get all the Bs in order. I hate the after taste of B vitamin complex so this time I bought the gummy vitamins.
Vitamin C - This is in my B vitamin complex luckily but I still am going to get my OJ on. This helps B vitamin enter the body.
Silica - There are only 3 forms of silica I'm willing to mess with 1)Bamboo 2) Bamboo Tea 3)Diatmaceous Earth. Now my skin (and my hair) loooooove silica! Which means that like most adults it's low in my body (babies have a high amount of silica which is why their skin is eeeeverything!). Right now I put 1 teaspoon of food grade D.E in my drink twice a day. I usually take it for 3 weeks then stop for a few weeks. Seems to work well that way.
Acne Scar Removal Game:
Microneedle Roller 1.5 mm - I thought about it, researched it, and am going to try in next month. It is scary but hey, I can take it (with tattoo pain cream, lol). I have quite a few boxcar scars on my cheeks that have to go! I'll document my progress using this method. I will probably be using this with vitamin E oil.
Body Care Game:
Dove - I'm sticking with this or the store brand version as my first choice.
Caress - Second runner up. I love the smell too. Wish they made a honey and almonds or coconut scent one too *writes letter to company*
Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream - Yeah I know I'm grown but damn it this stuff works! I apply this to skin (particularly eczema) after washing and I'm good to go.
CeraVe - This lotion is great! Comes in a large container too, but a little goes a long way. I initially got this as a sample and wasn't expecting much but I ended up loving it. This is the only lotion I can put on my dry eczema AND on my oily face. What kid of magic is this? I don't know, but I like it.
